Founding Mothers is a series of 12 lectures showcasing the early days of female presentation in national Israeli politics.
We will begin with an introduction detailing the early days of struggle for gender equality and the demands of the Hebraic suffragists under Ottoman and British rules. The following 11 meetings will be dedicated to the personal stories and struggles of the first women elected to the Israeli Knesset in 1949.
